Trio dupes man of Rs 40 lakh promising village accountant job- The New Indian Express

MANGALURU: As the PSI recruitment fraud is raging, a guy from Hassan has lodged a grievance with the CEN police station right here, accusing 3 folks of having Rs 40 lakh from him with the guarantee of finding a position of village accountant for his son.

He complained that one of the accused claimed himself to be a CBI officer with significant contacts with politicians and bureaucrats. The complainant, Krishna Gowda, father of Darshan, mentioned that Nagabhushan from Bengaluru, Narayana Swamy from Vamanjoor in Mangaluru, Mahesh Bhat from Mulki near Mangaluru and Dinesh from Moodbidre took Rs 40 lakh from him.

Darshan and three other people — Hemavathi from Hassan, Lohith from Chikkamagauru and Mohammad Sharif from Bengaluru — experienced achieved at a coaching centre in Bengaluru. They had applied for the post of village accountant in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan respectively. Mahesh Bhat applied to visit the property of Nirmala Venkataswamy, who is Sharif ’s neighbour.

An accused claimed he was a CBI officer: Plaint

When Sharif explained to Bhat that he and his buddies have used for a VA job, the latter claimed that he is familiar with a ‘CBI officer’ named Narayanaswamy, who has large contacts with major officials and politicians and he would support him get the work. In 2019, the 4 VA aspirants frequented the house of Bhat in Mulki and satisfied Narayanaswamy, who asked them to pay out Rs 40 lakh each individual.

Narayanaswamy instructed them that he would get the occupation performed via Nagabhushan and Dinesh. Darshan paid Rs 8 lakh in 2019 and then Rs 32 lakh soon after he was shown a fake appointment letter which he believed to be real. Even so, immediately after sometime, Darshan realised that it was a phony appointment letter and demanded the accused for the first appointment letter. Then the accused threatened to eliminate them. The accused have been booked less than different IPC sections, together with 420 (dishonest) and 465 (forgery).
